birthverse

2009-08-16

Inspired by this site, but uninspired by the verse they picked for me, I decided that, I too, can start my own business.  For a small fee, I will go through the entire Bible and find inspiring verses that correspond to your date of birth.  Of course I reserve the right to change things up a little for people whose birthdays fall on days like 11/29 or 12/31, considering many books don’t have that many chapters or verses.

You can order your birthverse in card form but not in bracelet form, since people who wear jewelry could go to hell (it’s being decided in a committee meeting right now), but I also suggest the eternal, “post it on the internet where it will stay forever form.”

Here’s a sampling, using a simple birthday like April 24:

  • Deuteronomy 4:24 – For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
  • Joshua 4:24 – “…He did this so that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the LORD is powerful and so that you might always fear the LORD your God.”
  • Proverbs 4:24 – Put away perversity from your mouth;
           keep corrupt talk far from your lips.
  • Jeremiah 4:24 – I looked at the mountains,
           and they were quaking;
           all the hills were swaying.
  • Mathew 4:24 – News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and he healed them.
  • Mark 4:24 – “Consider carefully what you hear,” he continued. “With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more.
  • Luke 4:24 – “I tell you the truth,” he continued, “no prophet is accepted in his hometown.
  • John 4:24 – “…God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.”
  • Acts 4:24 – When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. “Sovereign Lord,” they said, “you made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them….”
  • Romans 4:24 – but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.
  • Ephesians 4:24 – and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
