TRAVEL TUESDAY: Indian Airport Security

A series of observations and tips from my recent trips to India.  Feel free to add your thoughts and experiences in the comments, as well as make suggestions for future TRAVEL TUESDAY topics.

Security lines.  You love ’em or you hate ’em, but you have to have ’em.   Security is a little different in India.  I can’t give an opinion about the technology or depth of search, but some parts are a bit more civil than the US.

  • Carry-ons – liquids– contact solution, small water bottles, drink the water as a test
  • laptops come out
  • separate men/womenls lines
  • everyone is patted down
  • put down the boarding pass to get stamped
  • each of your bags must have a tag stamped or no entrance
